Ingredients
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups flour
pinch of salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Coat coke sheets with non-stick cooking spray.
Mix sugars and shortening; add egg and vanilla, mix well. Add dry ingredients.
Roll into small balls and dip in red and/or green colored sugar.
Place on cookie sheet and flatten with bottom of a glass.
Bake for 7-10 minutes.
