Ingredients
1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 to 2 cups chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream together shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla.
Mix in the flour, baking soda, salt and chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
Cool on wire rack for a couple of minutes, and then enjoy!

Good recipe (tastes delicious), but a bit less sugar and more shortening would be good. Perhaps a little longer in the oven too :)
