Ingredients

1 cup butter (Do not substitute)
1 cup sugar
1 square semi-sweet chocolate

Directions

  1. Combine butter and sugar and cook over high heat stirring constantly until 290 degrees F.

  2. Pour onto cookie sheet lined with waxed paper.

  3. Cool.

  4. Melt semi-sweet chocolate and spread over cooled toffee.

  5. Break into bit size pieces.

Never made toffee before & now I can't stop!! I added crushed pecans just before pouring out mixture on 1 batch & on the next batch I crushed Werther's Coffee candies & added it to the mixture! Both are sooo good! I highly recommend using Gihardeli Baking Chips in milk chocolate for the top.
