Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
Frosting:
1 cup powdered sugar
a little milk
a little vanilla
2 tablespoons of butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Cream 1/2 cup butter with 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy (use electric beater).
Gradually beat in flour.
Shape into walnut size balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten out with a flat bottomed glass dipped in flour.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, (watch as they can brown easily).
Frosting:
Mix the butter, powdered sugar, enough milk for consistency and vanilla to taste.
Frost the cooled cookie. Then place a pecan half on top.

Love this recipe! so easy and yummy! i add xmas colored sprinkles to icing to give them a little color! i make them every year for home and gifts! they are always a hit!
