Ingredients
2/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 squares (2 ounces) unsweetened chocolate, each cut into 4 pieces
2 rolls Rollos
Directions
Heat oven to 350 F.
Line an 8" or 9" square baking pan with a double layer of aluminum foil; spray with cooking spray.
In medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla.
Melt butter and chocolate in a saucepan over low heat.
Add chocolate to flour mixture; mix well.
Pour in egg mixture & stir until thoroughly combined.
Pour batter into prepared pan.
Place caramels in rows along surface.
Bake 25 to 28 minutes, until top is set.
Cool in pan 10 minutes and invert onto wire rack; invert again and cool completely before cutting into squares.
